What it is

Coaching, not consulting

One-to-one coaching is a long-term partnership between you and your coach. Your coach doesn’t run the business for you. They help you see what to fix, decide what to do first and follow it through, until the business can grow without you holding it up.

One-to-one coaching is

  • An ongoing partnership with a coach who knows your business
  • Built on a proven system: the 6 Steps to Massive Results
  • About your goals and your numbers, not general advice
  • Accountability: what you commit to is checked at the next session
  • About your life as well as the business

It is not

  • Consulting: your coach won’t do the work for you
  • A one-off course you attend and forget
  • A quick fix or a magic formula
  • Someone else making your decisions

The 6 Steps to Massive Results

Six steps to a business that works without you

Your coach starts where your business is today and works through the steps with you. Each one builds on the one before.

  • Mastery

    From chaos to control

Get clear on where you are going and take control of the four areas of mastery: destination, money, time and delivery.

In your sessions: set your destination and track your key numbers.

  • Niche

    Predictable cash flow

Define what makes you different, so you attract the right customers and stop competing on price.

In your sessions: pin down your ideal customer and why they should choose you.

  • Leverage

    Efficiency

Systemise the business — vision, structure, KPIs and how-to systems — so it saves your time, energy and money.

In your sessions: write down how the work gets done, so it doesn’t all depend on you.

  • Team

    Structure for growth

Build a team with clear roles and accountability that runs the business day to day.

In your sessions: agree roles, targets and a meeting rhythm for your people.

  • Synergy

    A well-oiled machine

Duplicate what works, so growth compounds across teams, locations and new lines of business.

In your sessions: repeat what works across teams, branches and new lines of business.

  • Results

    Growth and freedom

A business that works without you — and the freedom to choose what comes next.

In your sessions: decide what freedom means for you, and plan for it.

Your first six weeks

A strong start, week by week

The first six weeks lay the foundation for everything that follows. Each week has one clear purpose, so you feel the momentum early.

  • Ground rules

    Week 1

Agree how coaching will work: roles, expectations and commitments, with everyone who needs to be involved on board. No shortcuts. This is built for the long term.

  • Alignment

    Week 2

A deep dive into your personal goals, business goals, vision and key numbers, so you and your coach head the same way. It becomes your roadmap for the next 12 to 24 months.

  • Learning

    Week 3

Foundation training on how businesses grow, so you make decisions faster and get more out of every session.

  • Community

    Week 4

Meet other owners at ActionCOACH workshops and events, for support, ideas and proof that people like you are getting results.

  • Early wins

    Week 5

Find quick financial improvements, such as conversion, pricing, collecting cash and following up, so you see the coaching make a difference early.

  • Share your progress

    Week 6

With momentum behind you, capture what has changed. If you know owners who could benefit, this is the time to introduce them.

What changes

What you can expect to change

Every business is different, so your coach agrees the targets with you. These are the areas owners most often work on.

01

Clear goals

A vision for the business and your life, broken down into 12 to 24-month goals and a 90-day plan.

02

Numbers you can see

Your key figures tracked every week, so decisions rest on facts, not feel.

03

More profit and cash

Pricing, conversion and cash collection improved one step at a time.

04

Systems that hold

How the work gets done, written down, so the business doesn’t depend on you for everything.

05

A team that owns results

Clear roles and accountability, so your people take ownership.

06

Your time back

More of your week spent on the business instead of in it, and time for life outside it.

How it works

A rhythm that keeps you moving

Coaching runs in 13-week cycles. Each one starts with a plan and ends with a review, with regular sessions in between.

  1. 1 Plan the quarter Step back from the day-to-day and build a 90-day plan: the few priorities that matter most, broken into weekly actions.
  2. 2 Work the plan Regular sessions keep you on track: what you committed to, what got done and what comes next.
  3. 3 Test and measure Track the numbers that show whether it is working, such as leads, conversion, sales, margin and cash, and adjust.
  4. 4 Review and reset At the end of the quarter, review the results, celebrate the wins and plan the next 13 weeks.

Inside every session

  • Wins since last time
  • Your goals and key numbers
  • Strategy on the main issue in front of you
  • What worked, what didn’t, and why
  • Your financials
  • Commitments for the next session

FAQ

One-to-one coaching, answered

How often will we meet?

Usually every week or every two weeks. Your coach agrees the rhythm with you at the start, based on your goals and how fast you want to move.

How long does coaching last?

One-to-one coaching is ongoing and planned in 13-week cycles, with your long-term goals as the guide. Your coach explains the agreement and its terms before you start, so there are no surprises.

How is it different from consulting or training?

A consultant usually tells you what to do, or does it for you. A course teaches you once. Your coach helps you decide, holds you to it and stays with you while you put it into practice, so the change lasts.

What do I need to put in?

Time for your sessions and for the work you agree between them. Coaching works when you act on it: the owners who get the most from it do what they commit to.

Can I choose my coach?

When you request your Free Business Analysis, you can name a coach you would like to meet, and we will arrange it where we can.

How much does it cost?

It depends on how often you meet and how long you work together. After your Free Business Analysis, your coach recommends an option and gives you a clear written fee before you decide.
